Last Man Standing Game 8

Congratulations go to Alan Snowden on winning game 8 of Last Man Standing.

Alan won thanks to a second half come back by the Mancs against the other half from North London , whilst Simon’s selection of Aldershot could only manage a 2-2 draw.

This will be the last, last man standing competition this year.

Thanks to everyone who took part, we will no doubt be up and running at the start of next season.

Last Man Standing Games 7 & 8

Congratualtions go to Alan Williams for his third victory this year in Last Man Standing Game 7 (the rollover game).

Is it that difficult to select one team that will win their fixture each weekend or are we all just that bad. Game 6, 10 entries, 7 fall by the wayside week one, the remaing three slip up week two, resulting in a rollover.

Game 7, 10 entries, three fail to select a winning team week one and only one of the seven remaining select a winning team week two.

Game 8 starts this weekend, Friday 27th, Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th March - Divsion 1 and 2 matches only this week, Internationals do not count.

Why not give it a go to see if you can do better you never know you might win.

For details of how to enter see link in the top right corner.

Gunflash Magazine

The official London Arsenal Supporters Club in Gillespie Road have produced ‘Gunflash’ magazine, the official supporters club fanzine if you like, since 1949. They are proud of the fact this makes it the oldest official football fanzine out there.

In recent times, the very existence of Gunflash has been in doubt.

As a result, we at MASC have agreed to try and do our little bit to help by selling a few copies on their behalf.

Consequently these will be available for sale at each of our social and charity events, will be offered when people collect match tickets from 3 Cheviot Gardens and also at the Wall in Elwood Street before home matches.

IF THERE ARE ANY MEMBERS OUT THERE WHO WOULD LIKE US TO PUT 1 COPY ASIDE EACH TIME ONE IS PRODUCED (ROUGHLY ONCE PER MONTH), PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Well worth a read and for just GBP2.50 per copy, we at MASC believe it is money well spent.

NOT ONLY THAT, BUT 50PENCE OF EACH COPY WE SELL WILL GO TO TEENAGE CANCER TRUST.

As always, thanks for your support.

Last Man Standing Game 5 & 6

Congratulations go to Alan Williams who won game 5 of Last Man Standing, this is the second time that Alan’s won the competion this year.

Game 7 started this week with 10 participants and we could have easily had the unusual scenario of everyone failing to predict a winner in week one with 7 of the participants falling at the first hurdle.

The only three to go through being Dave Howells, Simon Mullish and Alan Snowden all thanks to the Mancs and once again some dreadful refereeing at Old Trafford.

Not only should Ronaldo not have been on the pitch to score the winner, having previously lashed out earlier in the game which meant he would have not been on the pitch to score the winner.

But then the ref fails to give an absolute stonewall penalty to Blackburn.

Who said you don’t need luck to win ?
